Dr. Bob will be teaching at the Microchip MASTERs Conference 2010 in Phoenix Arizona during the week of August 25, 2010.  We'd love to meet you there, answer your questions, and help you with your problems.

StudentsInFocus_560w

Dr. Bob will be teaching a 4 hour hands on lab class, where you'll actually get a chance to try out TCPmaker for yourself.  (The class will be given 3 times during the main Masters Conference, so you'll several chances to fit it into your schedule.)

Try Out TCPmaker for Yourself at Dr. Bob's HANDS-ON Class

Each attendee in the class will have a PC, a Microchip demo board and power supply, a Microchip programmer / debugger (to program the TCPmaker code into the demo board), and a connection to the Local Area Network in the classroom.  In this class, you'll learn how TCPmaker works, try some simple hands-on lab exercises for yourself, and also see some demos of some more advanced capabilities.

Multiple PIC Family Platforms

The classroom will be set up with multiple PIC platforms: equal numbers of PIC18, PIC24, and PIC32 demo boards.  All can be used with TCPmaker, so you can choose the processor family platform that you're most interested in.

So this way, you can learn all about TCPmaker and actually try it out for yourself on the processor family that is most relevant to you, in a friendly hands-on classroom setting.

Topics We'll Cover

What kinds of devices can we make with TCPmaker?

  • Brief review of what parts TCPmaker uses of the Microchip Ethernet Stack
  • Lab 1 (Guided Hands-On Exercise): Initial demo of TCPmaker device capabilities (guided hands-on exercise):
    • Part A: Test interactive TCPmaker content directly on PC browser (without need to load into a PIC first), and get a tour of new TCPmaker controls and features.
    • Part B: Compile and run a finished TCPmaker project on the PICDEM.net2 board.
  • How TCPmaker works, and why it's unique
  • Going Beyond the Basics: Setting up your Data (with built-in display formatting!)
  • Exploring the TCPmaker Screen Controls
  • Using Advanced Properties
  • Using Templates to make a great looking multi-page site with a consistant look on all the pages
  • Lab 2: Complete and run a nearly finished multi-page TCPmaker device, and view the traffic to and from this device using TCPmaker’s mtDebug tool.
  • DEMO: Interoperability with SNMP
  • DEMO: Upgrading firmware over the network with Ethernet bootloader PROtected©
  • DEMO: Setting a fixed IP over the network

This is an information rich class, with lots of things to see and do.

BONUS!  In EACH CLASS, we will raffle off a free copy of TCPmaker AND our upcoming new PIC32 Ethernet protected bootloader product,  BLPROtected!

BONUS! Special discount on Trace Systems products to all Masters attendees!
