What Processors Does HIDmaker FS Support?

At this time, HIDmaker FS generates code for the Microchip PIC family of processors. We can provide three different types of solutions within the current PicMicro family of devices:

• New! A powerful single-chip flash programmable, full speed USB solution provided by the Microchip PIC18F4550, PIC18F4455, PIC18F2550, and PIC18F2455 processors.
• An economical single-chip USB solution provided by the (low speed) MIcrochip PIC 16C745/765, which has a built-in USB engine.
• A 2 chip full-speed USB PIC based solution, consisting of a full speed National USBN9603/4 in combination with a FLASH PIC like the 16F877 or 18F452. (CCS C only.)

"What If I'm Using a Different Processor Family?"

You should buy HIDmaker FS now, especially if you're working on a project with a deadline. Here's why:

• You can use HIDmaker to generate your code, and port it to your target processor. The PC side code will work without changes, so you only need to port the peripheral side code. Since HIDmaker generates code for 2 C compilers, a Basic compiler, and an assembler, at least one of these languages is likely to be pretty close to what you need. Remember, it's a lot easier to port a known good program than it is to write a new program from scratch.

We intend to make versions of HIDmaker that support other peripheral processor families. We will do so as soon as we can.
